Reunited for yet another adventure, the ladies are celebrating Indu’s 75th birthday. They face new obstacles, but they work together to conquer the hardest ones.
Jhimma 2 Review :
Two years ago, Hemant Dhome assembled an amazing cast of actors to produce the critically acclaimed film Jhimma, which was adored by both critics and viewers. During the end credits, the movie did leave open the possibility of a sequel, and Dhome, writer Irawati Karnik, and the entire cast have continued the plot with Jhimma 2.
Similar to the first installment, Jhimaa 2’s central plot revolves around a trip abroad with the seven leading ladies. This time, though, the women are getting together to commemorate Indu’s (Suhas Joshi) 75th birthday, so the motivation is different.Although the basic idea remains the same, Jhimma 2 differs in how it develops and the contemplation it promotes through the narrative’s events. Rinku Rajguru and Shivani Surve, who are at the center of the story and help it progress, are two new faces added to the cast of the film, while Suhas Joshi, Nirmitee Sawant, Suchitra Bandekar, Kshitee Jog, and Sayali Sanjeev reprise their roles.
The women’s journey and celebrations set the scene for the movie. Jhimma 2 is an exhilarating ride that, despite its “slice of life” approach, makes you smile, makes you think. Jhimma 2 has it all—different people, distinct personalities, and distinct approaches. However, Kabir, played by Siddharth Chandekar, serves as the glue that holds everything together.
The performers try their hardest. It is admirable how easygoing Nirmitee Sawant is, as well as how sincere Kshitee Jog and Suchitra Bandekar are. Sayali Sanjeev brilliantly captures the carefree essence of her role, and Suhas Joshi’s efforts and work are enough to make any younger actor blush. The two newcomers, Rinku and Shivani, fit right in with the group, and their performances are worth seeing. It’s interesting to note that despite the film having eight characters, none of them ever seem to be given more attention than the others.
The foundation of this movie is the script and dialogue, which Hemant’s direction expertly highlights. While there are moments when the movie feels a little strained, overall, this is a minor complaint.

This one is worth seeing just for that alone. Will the Jhimma 3 be released? Perhaps.
