To provide irrigation facilities to the farmers, the state government has launched the Maharashtra Chief Minister Solar Krishi Pump Yojana (Mukhyamantri Solar Krishi Pump Yojana). Under this scheme, the state government will provide solar pumps to the farmers of Maharashtra for irrigating their fields.
Also, old diesel and electric pumps will be converted into solar pumps. Under the Mukhyamantri Solar Krishi Pump Yojana, the Maharashtra Government will provide subsidies for installing new solar pumps. (The Government of Maharashtra will provide a subsidy to install a new solar pump.)

Mukhyamantri Solar Krishi Pump Yojana 2023
Under this scheme, the state government has decided to provide 1,00,000 agricultural pumps to the farmers. Also known as Atal Solar Agricultural Pump Yojana, the scheme aims to install 1 lakh pumps in the next 3 years. The process of installation of solar pumps has been started from February 2019 in Mukhyamantri Solar Pump Yojana.

Friends, you all know that even today many farmers irrigate their fields with diesel and electric pumps, in which they spend a lot because diesel pumps are very expensive. Keeping this problem in mind, the state government has started this scheme, under the Maharashtra Chief Minister Solar Agriculture Pump Yojana 2023, the state government is going to provide solar pumps to the farmers of the state to irrigate their fields.
Under the Solar Pump Scheme, the State Government subsidizes 95% of the cost of the pump. Beneficiaries will pay only 5%. Getting solar pumps through Maharashtra Solar Pump Yojana 2023 will also increase the income of farmers and they will not have to buy pumps at higher than market prices. The use of these solar pumps will also not cause environmental pollution.

Maharashtra Mukhyamantri Saur Krishi Pump Yojana 2023 Benefits
1. Farmers of Maharashtra state will get the benefit of this scheme.
2. All farmers with less than 5 acres of land will get 3 HP pumps and for larger farms 5 HP pumps.
3. Government will distribute 25,000 solar water pumps in the first phase of Atal Solar Agriculture Pump Scheme and 50,000 solar pumps will be distributed in the second phase. In the third phase, the government will distribute 25 thousand solar pumps to the farmers.
4. Under this scheme solar pumps for irrigation will be made available to agricultural pump farmers in the state.
5. Farmers who already have an electricity connection will not be given the benefit of solar powered ag pump under this scheme.
6. The Maharashtra solar pump scheme from 2023 will also reduce the additional burden of electricity on the government.
7. Old diesel pumps will be replaced with new solar pumps. So that the pollution in the environment will also be reduced.
8. Government subsidy for electricity in irrigation sector will also reduce the burden on the government.

• Farmers with assured source of water are eligible under Mukhyamantri Solar Krishi Pump Yojana. However, farmers with conventional electricity connections will not get the benefit of solar ag pumps under this scheme.
• Farmers in areas not electrified by conventional energy sources (ie through mass distribution).
• Farmers in remote and tribal areas
• Farmers in the village are yet to be electrified due to NOC from Forest Department.
• Pending list of applicants applying for new power connection for AG pump.
• 3 HP DC up to 5 acres and 5 HP DC pumping system above 5 acres will be deployed in selected beneficiary farms.
